Alghero: horseback riding in Lake Baratz
Description
Live an unforgettable experience with a one-hour ride in the Alghero area, around the suggestive Lake Baratz, the only natural lake in Sardinia.
The route will take you through lush pine forests, where you will breathe in the scent of myrtle, rosemary, and lavender, and where you will be able to observe the typical Mediterranean maquis up close. During the excursion, you will have the opportunity to discover native plants and encounter local fauna, such as the rare freshwater tortoise and numerous species of water birds. After admiring the tranquil waters of the lake, you will walk through fascinating golden sand dunes, up to 5 metres high.
Suitable for everyone, this experience will allow you to immerse yourself in the unspoilt nature of Sardinia, giving you an authentic and adventurous perspective of this wild land.

IMPORTANT
- The maximum permitted weight per person is 90 kg.
- The length of the route is approximately 2 km.
- There will be a short briefing before the excursion in order to understand your level of riding ability.
- Any changes to the timetable, due to weather, will be communicated to you at least one day before the excursion.
AVAILABLE TIMES
The excursion timetable varies according to the season:
- In January and February at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- From 1 March to 24 March at 15:30
- From 25 March to 30 April at 16:30
- In May at 17:00
- 1 June to 20 August at 17:30
- 21 August to 18 October at 10:30 a.m.
- 19 October to 31 December at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
TRANSFER
A return transfer service is available from Alghero to the riding school at a cost of €66 for 1 to 4 people, bookable as an extra. After booking, contact our guide at the telephone number on the Voucher to make the best arrangements for the time and place of meeting.
BAR SERVICE
There is a bar inside the Riding School offering breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
