In Sardinia, every anniversary had its own dish and many of these, after their preparation, had to be donated or shared. On the day of the "anime", the first of November, the Papassini, sweets typical of the Sardinian tradition, were given to the children who knocked from door to door to be given to the souls of the ancestors, to remember them and to maintain the bond with them. Their name comes from one of its main ingredients, raisins, which bind to flour, dried fruit and other aromas create a surprising biscuit in its flavors. You will learn the family recipe of the village of Allai, discovering the history of this typical sardinian sweet and the rituals of its preparation, immersing yourself in a millennial culture that retains a strong link with food. This is not over! At the end of the workshop you will discover this magical territory, from the historic center to conclude this experience with the visit to the charming house on the Tree, the only public structure in Italy!
The experience is only available in Italian from October 14th to November 15th
This workshop is suitable for any age! Even children can prepare this simple and fragrant biscuit. The workshop will be housed in a typical family home, recently renovated.
At the end of the workshop Sara and Mara will accompany you to discover the village of Allai that, thanks to its history, will remain in your heart. The afternoon will end at the top of the Tree House to look at the world from an unusual perspective and feel like a child again!
