Visit a distillates workshop with tasting in Tempio Pausania

IMPORTANT

After the meeting with the guide, everyone will drive about 1.5 km to reach the company in their own car, so it is necessary to be self-equipped.

FARM

The company, the only one in Sardinia in the cultivation and sale of fresh berries, is located in the countryside of Tempio Pausania, at the foot of Monte Limbara, amidst olive trees and berry plants. 
It was established following in-depth studies of the climate and the nature of the terrain, the search for innovative initiatives for the territory, and the need to use the surplus of berries, the result of a painstaking selection process that gave rise to three different distillates:

• Lìcchitta, a distillate of blueberries, white and red gooseberries, blackberries, white and red currants, which is unique because, at present, there are only single-fruit distillates on the world market;
• Melalione, a distillate of arbutus, a fruit of the Mediterranean maquis, historically proposed as a white distillate, today also represents a 'unicum' because it is characterised by six months of ageing in acacia barriques
• Làndhe, which represents the utmost expression of innovation and uniqueness, as it is a raw material that has never before been distilled in the world, a gluten - free, starchy and wild fruit, originates a 100% cork acorn distillate, with no added sugar, no caramel and no passage in wood. The very low acorn yield and the uniqueness of the product place acorn brandy in a narrow niche market.

PROGRAMME

The guided experience begins with a short walk through the berry orchard and an explanation of the berry distillate.

Afterwards, upon entering the distillery, the guide will tell about the strawberry distillate and briefly introduce the small farm.

This will be followed by an explanation of the acorn distillate and all the machinery in the distillery and its use.

In conclusion, there will be a tasting session with samples of all three distillates accompanied by sweet and savoury pairings.

At the end of the visit, the guide will accompany participants back to the meeting place.

TASTING

The tasting includes the tasting of three locally produced distillates

• Licchìtta distillate of wild berries ("sfiziosa" in the Sardinian language)
• Melalione di Corbezzole distillate ('arbutus' in Sardinian);
• Làndhe distillate ('acorn' in Sardinian).

The tasting will be served with amaretti and tilicche (typical Sardinian and artisanal sweets made with honey and oranges) and semi-matured cheeses.
Water and soft drinks such as Coca Cola and Fanta will also be available.

Spirits tasting is available for participants aged 18 and over. Children are welcome, but please note that the distillery is set up with bottles on display and various glassware.

ANIMALS

Pets are allowed on a leash in open spaces but not in the workshop. It will also be necessary to inform the guide of the presence of pets at the number on the booking voucher before arriving at the meeting point.
