Sassari: hiking with donkeys in Cargeghe and aperitif

IMPORTANT

Children and teens aged 3 years to 17 years will be able to do part of the hiking on the back of a donkey where the trail allows safe walking.

PROGRAM

There are at least 5 stops of 10 minutes each, in the main sites of the area:

• Romanesque church of Santa Maria e Contra
• Anella waterfalls area called Siscia: here if you want, you can also swim in the natural pools! In that case you will need shoes suitable for getting wet to enter the pebble-bottomed pools
• Ancient water mills 
• 19th century lime kiln
• Necropolis of Su Elighe Entosu with the visit of 3 domus de janas
• Reentry

The time of the experience varies according to the period:

• From January to March & October to December 8:45 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays only
• From April to May: 8:45 a.m. | 2:45 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays only
• From June to September: 4:15 p.m. every day

APERITIF

During the experience will be served a typical Sardinian aperitif based on: cold cuts (eg raw ham, sausage, bacon, lard) and cheeses such as ricotta, peretta and pecorino, Carasau (typical Sardinian bread), water, white and red wines.

ANIMALS

Pets are allowed with a muzzle and leash as long as they are of docile disposition.
