A special trekking, unique, extraordinary! In the wildest nature of the east coast of Sardinia, you will live six incredible days, accompanied by local guides who know by heart these fantastic trails and will guide you in the beautiful coves of the coast of the Municipality of Baunei. Trekking in the Selvaggio Blu is considered to be the most difficult trekking in Italy. Its itinerary winds along the cliffs and mule tracks of the Gulf of Orosei and over the years it has become one of the most famous and challenging experiences in Europe. In this version, without climbing difficulties, you start from Pedra Longa and you get to Cala Luna. It requires a good attitude to the bivouac (sleep in the sleeping bag under the stars and in the refuges!). mainly you will sleep in charming sheepfolds that you will find along the way or on the beach. In both cases there will be the magic of the surrounding environment. It will be an almost spiritual experience, because the lack of comfort that now characterize our daily life, will lead you to live moments of rare beauty, adrenaline and intensity. All embellished by the flavors of Sardinia that you will enjoy during meals that will be held in small restaurants or in the sheepfolds of shepherds who have made hospitality their creed. Difficult to tell this experience with words... you have to live it!
The day before the start of the Selvaggio Blu, there will be a briefing meeting with the guides and the group at 6 p.m. in Baunei. Then all participants must organize themselves for dinner and overnight stay.
From Pedra Longa you will reach Punta Giradili, a panoramic terrace 700 m high overlooking the sea. Afterwards, you will continue the walk to a historic Ovile, where you will dine and spend the night in a tent.
After breakfast from the Ovile you will arrive on foot to the inlet of Portu Cuau. From here an easy path will lead you to Portu Pedrosu where you can stop for a swim. After the packed lunch you return to the Ovile where you will spend another night.
From the sheepfold you will head towards the panoramic terrace of Punta Salinas and then towards the Baccu Goloritzè to reach the homonymous Cala. In the afternoon we leave for the Golgo Plateau: visit of the natural and archaeological monuments. Dinner and bivouac in Golgo.
Following a dirt road and a path of shepherds and charcoal burners, you will reach the beautiful Cala Mariolu. After a swim and a packed lunch, transfer by boat to Cala Biriala. From here you will continue the walk to reach Ololbitzi, 400 m high, where you will spend the night.
From Ololbitzi you reach Punta Serra Overa, from where you can enjoy an overview of the entire Gulf, from Capo Montesanto to Capo Comino. From here you descend to the beach of Cala Sisine. Dinner and overnight in Cala Sisine.
You will leave Cala Sisine behind and climb up a steep rock that will lead you to the Ovile Irove Longu. From here begins the descent towards Cala Luna; during the route you can admire S'Archittu de Lopiru, a beautiful rock arch. Arrived in Cala Luna, a swim in the waters of the beautiful cove and, in the afternoon, return by boat to Cala Gonone or Santa Maria Navarrese.
The guides will be one for every twelve participants. Usually the groups that participate in the Selvaggio Blu are less than twelve participants and as standard there will be two guides: one will accompany the group in the routes and the other will deal with the logistical aspects.
All daily trekking will start at approximately 8:30 am.
The program may be subject to changes due to weather conditions or psychophysical group.
Among the services included there is the transport of luggage from stage to stage in order to face the trekking only with the daily backpack. In fact, a second backpack, in which to put everything you need for the bivouac in the evening (sleeping bag, mattress, spare clothing, etc.) will be transported to you by jeep, or by boat, at the end of the stage. In preparing your luggage you should consider that, should the sea conditions be prohibitive, these must be carried, even for short distances, on the shoulder; for this reason, it is strongly advised not to bring with you unnecessary and unnecessary things.
The bivouacs will be held mainly in the sheepfolds, where there are essential services such as: the toilet, the shower, charging stations for mobile phones.
